SmithTherm offers SmithTape that is produced to meet the requirements of the manufactures for the insulation of electric cables and traction motors. It is designed such where micapaper is used as the base material which is then combined with synthetic resins and suitable backing materials such as glass fabrics, polyester films to give the required mechanical strength.

We manufacture comprehensive grades of mica papers that are used in the production of high dielectric mica tapes and wrappers made with muscovite and phlogopite mica. The different uses of these tapes are for high insulation of electric cables, flexible windings and coil leads, for the insulation of generators.
